Southern Cross Gold Confirms Continuity of High-Grade Gold at Rising Sun, VIC
Project Name: Apollo Prospect, Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project
Project Location: Victoria (VIC), Australia
Project Stage: Advanced Exploration
ProjectBank Summary:
Southern Cross Gold Ltd (ASX: SXG) has completed close-spaced navigational diamond drilling at the Rising Sun Prospect within its Sunday Creek Project, confirming both geological and grade continuity in multiple high-grade gold-antimony vein sets. The program targeted narrow high-grade veins, successfully intercepting mineralisation as anticipated. Significant results include 1.3 meters at 52.6 g/t AuEq from 730m and 0.1 meters at 173 g/t AuEq from 739.1m. Additional gold-antimony mineralised veins were discovered, supporting the predictability of mineralisation in the area.
Southern Cross Gold Highlights:
1.3m @ 52.6 g/t AuEq and 0.1m @ 173 g/t AuEq within high-grade mineralised veins.
Confirmatory drilling results enhance the confidence in geological continuity at Rising Sun.
60 km of planned diamond drilling over the next year to further delineate the Sunday Creek Project.
MD/CEO Statement:
Michael Hudson, Managing Director of Southern Cross Gold, stated: "Understanding grade continuity is crucial for high-grade gold deposits. Our NAVI drill program has not only confirmed the consistency of mineralised structures but also demonstrated the reliability of our geological model, lowering risk and enhancing confidence in the project. We look forward to expanding our drilling efforts as we continue to unlock the potential of Sunday Creek."
