Project Summary
The Bowdens Silver Project, located in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, is the largest undeveloped silver deposit in Australia. This significant project is managed by Silver Mines Ltd and features a single open-cut mine with an expected operational lifespan of 16 years, based on a 2018 Feasibility Study. The study established a maiden Ore Reserve of 29.9 million tonnes, containing substantial amounts of silver, zinc, and lead.
The project plans to develop a new processing plant with a capacity of 2 million tonnes per annum. The average annual production is projected to be 3.4 million ounces of silver, 6,900 tonnes of zinc, and 5,100 tonnes of lead, highlighting its substantial output potential. The Bowdens Silver Project not only promises to be a major contributor to the silver market but also adds value through its by-products of zinc and lead.
The project has undergone extensive exploration and feasibility assessments, ensuring that all aspects of its development are thoroughly evaluated and optimized. Environmental considerations and sustainable practices are integral to the project’s development strategy, ensuring minimal ecological impact and compliance with regulatory standards.
