LCL intersects high-grade nickel sulphides at Veri Veri, PNG

Project Name: PNG Nickel Project

Project Location: Papua New Guinea (PNG)

Project Stage: Exploration

ProjectBank Summary: LCL Resources Ltd (ASX: LCL) has reported significant trenching results at the Veri Veri prospect within their 100% owned PNG Nickel Project. The trenching has revealed multiple zones of high-grade nickel sulphides with associated gold mineralisation. Key intercepts include 14m @ 3.24% Ni and 0.71 g/t Au, 19m @ 2.46% Ni and 0.65 g/t Au, 14m @ 2.82% Ni and 0.83 g/t Au, and 20m @ 1.58% Ni and 0.90 g/t Au. These results highlight the substantial potential of the Veri Veri prospect, which is part of a larger 20km strike length along the Keveri Fault.

LCL Resources Highlights:

  • Trenching results at Veri Veri prospect:

    • 14m @ 3.24% Ni, 0.71 g/t Au (from 90-104m)

    • 19m @ 2.46% Ni, 0.65 g/t Au (from 131-150m)

    • 14m @ 2.82% Ni, 0.83 g/t Au (from 159-173m)

    • 20m @ 1.58% Ni, 0.90 g/t Au (from 8-28m)

  • First field program at Wedei:

    • Investigating a 7km x 4km nickel stream sediment anomaly.

  • Further exploration activities:

    • Ongoing trenching and rock chip sampling to delineate additional high-grade zones.

MD/CEO Statement: Ross Ashton, Executive Chairman of LCL Resources, commented: "The intersection of high-grade nickel sulphides at Veri Veri, supported by significant gold values, over a substantial portion of the 183m long trench, is a promising start to our detailed field follow-up. Our work confirms that the nickel-gold mineralisation in the PNG Nickel Project is hydrothermal in origin and potentially globally significant. We look forward to further exploration and advancing the understanding of this unique mineral system."
