Basin Energy Limited (ASX: BSN) has acquired a 100% interest in a highly prospective portfolio of exploration projects in Sweden and Finland, covering 120.1 km² and 64.8 km² respectively. The Scandinavian portfolio contains multiple commodities, including uranium, copper, gold, silver, niobium, and rare earth elements. Highlights include historical drill intercepts of up to 9m at 1,087 ppm U₃O₈ and rock chip samples with uranium grades up to 0.45% U₃O₈. Basin Energy’s work program will commence immediately, focusing on stakeholder engagement, re-logging of historic core, and ground exploration to advance these green energy metal assets.
Basin Energy Highlights:
cquisition of five exploration licenses in Sweden and five reservations in Finland, covering a combined area of over 185 km².
Notable historical results: 9m @ 1,087 ppm U₃O₈ at the Virka Project and rock chip samples up to 0.45% U₃O₈ at Prästrun.
No modern exploration since the 1980s, presenting significant untapped potential for multiple critical minerals.
